Chapter 6
"What the front door are you doing!?"
"Shocking you out of your state of drunken-ness."
I could scarcely comprehend anything. "W-Was there any other way too?"
"There was,but it involved more sensual--"
"Whoa, okay," I chuckled nervously and blushed.
Ethan laughed out loud. "You probably would have been angry."
"Yeah, a lil' bit," I sighed.
"But I've gotta get a move on with my life," I heard someone sing. Raven.
"It's time to be a big girl now," I melodized, smiling.
"And big girls don't cry."
Fergie musn't have known how wrong she'd been. Big girls cry. Trust me.
"Hey,Rave," I greeted when she entered the room. She eyed me as I dangled from Ethan's arms. Anger flashed in her eyes.
"What are you doing?" she growled.
"Being...Elsee?" I half-asked.
"She was passed out, so I had to wait." Ethan said, biting his lower lip and averted his gaze.
Raven narrowed her black eyes. "Oh, really?"
I nodded, sending a wave of dizziness through me.
Raven exhaled sharply. "Fine," she said shakily, stalking out.
I looked at Ethan, curious. "What's wrong with her?"
"She's extremely jelous," Ethan appointed, sighing.
"Of...you and I?"
He nodded. "She believes that you're a threat."
"Am I to you?" I inquired.
"No, not really."
I stared at him. "Okay?"
"I-It's not that you're ugly or anything, I just...I really like her."
I nodded in understanding. Then I looked into his emerald eyes, and time seemed to freeze as the dream I had had replayed itself in my mind.
It was just as horrifying as the first time. Raven and I screaming at each other, Ethan trying to stop her, Raven slitting my throat...
"Elsee!" Ethan's voice brought me abruptly back to reality.
"Wh-What?" I said.
"You were shrieking, so I got a little worried," he replied.
"Oh...well, I..."
I told him about my dream, biting my lip hard when I finished.
"You said you loved me, and Raven attempted murder," he said.
I nodded, still shaking slightly with fear.
"D-Do you think it's a prophecy or something?" Ethan inquired.
"I-It was probably just some s-s-stupid d-dream," I stuttered. But what if it /were/ to become true?
"Do you truly think that?" he asked.
I nodded, then realized I was still in his arms. I stood.
He did also. "Ya know...that wouldn't be too bad."
"Me getting killed!?" I exclaimed, appauled.
"No!" he yelled. "The part where...you said you...loved me."
Heat rushed up the back of my neck and to my face.
"Uhm, I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world or anything like that," he said quickly.
"Uh, y-yeah..."
We stood there, and awkward silence filling the room.
"I-I'm sorry, Elsee. I've made everything all weird."
I shrugged. "No big deal. Just make a point of telling Raven that I don't love you."
He nodded. "I will. Thanks for being alright with all of this."
"It's fine." I smiled.
He grinned back and walked away.
It has been forever since I posted this. XD
